Rehearsal Files for the Spring 2020 concert -              Felix Mendelssohn - Oratorio: St Paul.

Picture

Notes for singers

These are designed to help you learn notes and rhythms. There are two versions of these files. The tiny, but tinny,  .mid files are to be found here on the website, while the bigger, but much better quality, .mp4a files are the CDs (which you can get for £1.00, though don’t let me stop you giving more).

In these files your voice part has been boosted and placed on the left channel. Oboe is used for S, A and T; Contrabasso for B. The other voices use Choir Aahs, somewhat reduced in volume and placed centrally, as are the soloists. The accompaniment is String Ensemble, further reduced and placed on the right channel.

I  recommend using earphones. If you wish to hear just your voice part, simply use the left earphone on its own and the accompaniment all but vanishes.

File names start with the item number. Some have a sub-section letter, then (usually) the opening words sung and finally your voice in CAPs,  For example:     05 B He hath said BASS 1.

The file starts and finishes are listed opposite.    ENJOY!
